Attractive Umrah fares trigger larger number of pilgrims to Makkah, Madinah
ARAB NEWS – Thanks to the reduction in Umrah fare after the Hajj season by 44.44% (from SR180 ($48) to SR100), increasing numbers of Umrah pilgrims are visiting Makkah and Madinah. Performing Umrah or visiting the Holy Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah was prohibited was prohibited by authorities during the Hajj season.
Many local pilgrims can now benefit from the fares reduction. A roundtrip from Riyadh to Makkah including accommodation in the holy city costs SR100 and no additional fees will be paid to visit the Prophet’s Mosque. Umrah tours start at 4 PM Thursday and return on Saturday at midnight.
